About This Role

This is a core role in the wordpress developer team at Crednology. You'll contribute directly to supporting our infrastructure, operations, and business mission in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve Crednology’s marketing and content sites built on WordPress
  • Develop custom themes, plugins, and reusable Gutenberg blocks to support brand consistency
  • Translate designs into polished, responsive front-end templates with strong UX quality
  • Optimize site speed, reliability, and scalability for enterprise-grade traffic and uptime needs
  • Implement and maintain security updates, vulnerability fixes, and monitoring best practices
  • Integrate WordPress with business tools such as CRM forms, analytics, and marketing automation
  • Manage staging-to-production deployments with careful testing and rollback planning
  • Document technical solutions and support non-technical teams with CMS best practices
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content stakeholders to deliver new pages and features

Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of professional WordPress development experience
  • Strong PHP and modern JavaScript/TypeScript skills with clean, maintainable code practices
  • Deep experience with custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg block development
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, WordPress hooks, WP-CLI, and Composer-based workflows
  • Proven ability to optimize WordPress performance and Core Web Vitals (caching, CDN, DB tuning)
  • Experience implementing security best practices and maintaining update/hardening routines
  • Comfortable with Git-based development, code reviews, and structured release processes
  • Knowledge of SEO and accessibility (WCAG) standards for enterprise websites
  • Experience with multisite, ACF, WooCommerce, or headless WordPress is a plus
